Natural Gas Equipment Rebates
Gulf Breeze Natural Gas
The following rebates are available to homeowners in the Gulf Breeze Natural Gas service area. These rebates are NOT available for commercial or business property.
| $200 | If you replace your electric water heater with a natural gas water heater, or if you install a natural gas water heater in new construction |
| $200 | If you switch your whole-house heating system from electric to natural gas, or if you install a natural gas whole-house heating system in new construction |
| $100 | If you replace your old natural gas water heater with a new natural gas water heater |
| $100 | If you replace your old natural gas whole-house heating system with a new natural gas whole-house heating system |
| Tax Credits | There are also various federal tax credits available for energy-saving installations in your home. For information, go to www.energytaxincentives.org. |
What you need to do
- Print a copy of the registration form from your computer. Complete the form and bring or mail it to Gulf Breeze Natural Gas. Forms are also available from the gas office at 1070 Shoreline Drive, 934-5108.
- Gulf Breeze Natural Gas will review your registration to verify that you meet eligibility requirements. A copy of the form will be returned to you with an official authorization to proceed. We advise that you not proceed with the equipment purchase or installation until you receive this authorization.
- After your natural gas water heater/whole-house heating system has been installed, submit originals of the following: (a) Sales receipt for the water heater and/or whole-house heating system; (b) if applicable, the plumber’s receipt for installation; this receipt must show the plumber’s business name and address and his Santa Rosa County gas installer certification number.
- Installation must be completed and the above documents must be presented no later than 8 weeks from the authorization date on your registration form (except for new construction). If you miss the deadline, even if you complete installation later, you may NOT be eligible for rebate(s).
- After your receipts have been submitted, the rebate(s) will be issued once the installation has been inspected and approved by the City; this will take approximately 4 weeks.

Other Rebate Requirements
- The residential property must be within 100 feet of a Gulf Breeze Natural Gas main.
- The homeowner is responsible for selecting equipment and hiring the installer.
- Installation must be done by a certified natural gas installer and must meet all code requirements.
- Offer is limited to one rebate for a water heater and/or whole-house heating system per homeowner. Fireplaces do not qualify as a home heating system.
